Welcome to the inner workings of Amanda and Patrick Collins. Well, it’s mostly the workings of Amanda and the pictures of Patrick. We live in Phoenix, Arizona with our lab/chow mix, Phoenix. I work as The Grammar Doctor, creating marketing communications strategies and résumés for clients. Patrick is five and goes to preschool. When he’s not with me, he’s spending time with his dad, who also lives in the Phoenix area.

Patrick and I have a unique relationship among the families I know. We’re kind of partners in the world and I respect him as an individual. He is mature, kind, smart, and loving. I am extremely happy to be his mother and enjoy our time together immensely.

Things we like to do include any form of playing, especially outside. In the cooler months in Phoenix, we go hiking regularly, visit dog parks and playgrounds, and check out local outdoor festivals. Patrick especially likes moon bouncers. In the hotter months, we spend a lot of time in the pool and visit the Phoenix Children’s Museum and Chuck E Cheese’s, as well as other indoor play areas. Year-round, we enjoy movie parties with a bowl of popcorn and some good Disney flicks.
